Giving a speech is not necessary. In addition to being able to hit a six, you are a ball player. Calling the star all rounder an absolute jewel, Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina remarked, "Just hit a six again in the election."

Shakib Al Hasan wins a seat in the parliament of Bangladesh

After winning the general elections in Bangladesh with a resounding victory, Shakib Al Hasan, the captain of the men's cricket team, secured a seat in parliament on Sunday.

Shakib, standing as a candidate from the western town of Magura, won with 185,388 votes, according to the Dhaka Tribune.

In a resounding win, Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was elected to her eighth term in parliament for the Gopalganj-3 constituency. The Awami League, led by Hasina, won 223 seats in the election held on Sunday, securing the necessary number of MPs to establish the government.

The 12th national election was scheduled on January 7, and according to the Dhaka Tribune, Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had instructed Shakib Al Hasan to "hit a six" before the votes.

Making a speech is not required. You have the ability to take wickets with the ball as well as smash sixes. The prime minister praised the outstanding all round player, calling him a jewel, saying, "Just hit a six again in the election."

Although he took a short break from the game to compete in the elections, the only men's cricket player to have finished as the ICC's top all-rounder in every format has stated that he hasn't declared retirement from the game.

"Did I pass away?" During his campaign, Shakib posed a rhetorical question to an AFP reporter. Where does this query originate if I haven't retired?

With just two victories from nine matches, the Bangla Tigers finished eighth in the points table during the miserable ODI World Cup in India last year, which the all rounder captained.
