Ayodhya International Airport:

Ayodhya International Airport is being built by Airports Authority of India near Faizabad, Uttar Pradesh. Prior to then, Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram International Airport was its name.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to open Ayodhya Airport on December 30, 2023(Today). The project, which takes approximately 821 acres, is a brownfield improvement of the Faizabad Airstrip.

About 300 passengers during peak hours may be accommodated by an ATR-72-600 type aircraft operating out of Phase 1 of Ayodhya Airport. Its architecture is influenced by the Ram Janmabhoomi site, the currently under construction Shri Ram Mandir.

Ayodhya Airport Phase 2 is now in the design and engineering phase. In order to accommodate 3,200 passengers during peak hours (PHP), a new terminal building spanning 30,000 square meters will be built. Additionally, the runway will be extended from 2200 meters to 3125 meters, and the apron will be expanded to accommodate eight narrow body aircraft.

Today, PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji will inaugurate the newly built Maharshi Valmiki International Airport in Ayodhya Dham, which beautifully showcases India's rich cultural heritage.
